Basically these young silvers are having reddish finnages. Even without that tube they're still showing the redness. It's only more impressive to look at with the pinkish tube on.:D

The tube I'm using is called TFC. I dunno if your LFS carry these tube but they're just some standard pinkish light tube here. Alternatively, you can get other brands as long they're pinkish in colouration they will work for you.

yea, im using a pink tube(for lighting) too, a greater effects do shows. ^_^
 
very beautiful. I tried to find some pinkish lights before, but couldn't find any...wish I knew what they sold around here.

I know arcadia and zoomed got their own pinkish tube which they name them differently. You can try checking with the LFS near you who carries these tubes;)

Usually using TFC alone will give you a very artifical effect. Place another white tube infront of the TFC and you will see a more balance and wholesome look on fishes.

What exactly is a tube? Can you link us up on say eBay or any other fish supplier online? I'm interested in achieving the same effect too! In case you have any advice, I have two light fixtures side by side on a 4 foot tank. Now, I know I need one pink and one white "tube"... I just don't know what that means. BTW, great pix!
