Hardy fish. Omnivore and not picky with food. Don’t keep in a planted tank. Keep with similar sized fish. Can be nippy toward smaller fish and if not fed enough. Do well in groups of 4 or more. Keep ur tank cycled and nitrates <40ppm.

They are a tad skittish so do better in longer tanks.
I had eleven of them and they would eat a whole leaf of Roman lettuce daily along with the normal feedings.

Agree with kno4te and Jexnell the Silver Dollar's I have personally are extremely hardy.

You can anchor down a leaf of Romaine Lettuce. I personally feed my Silver Dollar's food that has algae Spirulina as one of the ingredients. Also Pothos roots will be eaten.
