Somehow our local shop got the smaller growing SD's. Great fish for dithers if you can find them. Not super skittish. My chocolates decimated the other schooling fish I put in there....

I removed my tiger sd's werent skittish at all but feeding time was insane I really hate those fish they eat everything in sight. Tank is much more enjoyable with ou them. Trying rainbowfish atm
Gave them to aquaridise in nj.

I like rainbows real quick too, and some get some size. I had swords in originally, but 2 jumped (the only gap is small!!), 3 were killed and eaten by the polleni, and one I saved. The polleni have since been removed... A big group, say 6-10 green swords would be great, but would they survive.. at least they are relatively cheap, but I'd hate to have them turn over so often and increase the risk of adding something diseased...

I'll just keep my eyes open, and try whatever seems to catch my eye based on everyone's suggestions

Pink tailed chalceus or yellow tailed chalceus. The yellow tailed don mess with each other as much. They are mostly stationary but do a good job filling out the top of the water collumn.

Giant Danio's are the best dithers I've used. They school really well, they're super fast and look terrific once they get acclimated. Get 7 or more.

Agree 100%. Mine do perfectly with larger/aggressive Cichlids.

Only giant danios I can find local are less than 2".. not so giant..

Picked up some filament barbs today, we'll see how they do.. supposedly they get to 6" which should serve them well for a while at least. None of my cichlids are 6"+ yet.

Nice pick up

Just got seven of them today from a fish farm and are definitely intimidating my aggressors. Lots of movement. Got 7 for $25.
