Silver/Gold Comm Tank

So here is the outdoor 8'x3' comm tank: 3 silver aros, BBXB, XB and HBRTG + a thin bar DAT.

This is my best comm tank so far. Silvers do nip each other: circling and such. The asians also nip and lunge at each other. The inter species conflict does not seem to happen - they only dislike each other lol no serious injuries so far just flayed tails on some

DAT just hides and holds his ground - still very shy even though i had him for quite some time already.

the smaller XB caught up with a larger BBXB - i think he is actually bigger now ... XB is turning into BBXB - which means i will be looking for a solid gold aro soon

This guy was raised from fingerling and grew the most note the shine on the fifth row

now i still need to figure out how to clean panels which are against the wall ... but hey, it is just algae

Throw in a few pleco for cleaning the tank base and some on the side. But for the wall, best is to do manual cleaning by the owner.

thought about plecos ... only black ones available here ... not so pretty. used to have L114 .... not a cleaning pleco (eats prawns himself).

to manual clean the panels next to wall, need to remove canopy ... very heavy and needs at least two people...

the walls can not be cleaned at all because the tank is next to it

bad planning i suppose should have used dark or blue film on the back ...

dayum im LOVING the BBXBs! such beautiful colours!!! im considering getting one!! the silvers look monster! almost ready to transfer with ure RTCS!!!

Do common plecos really work as algae cleaners? and how many would i need to clean 8' tank

they seriously work well. but i have a feeling ure asian arows may kill them....common plecs can clean algae that even human hands cant clean! especially wen the algae is really stuck strong to the glass...i duno how they do it!!!
