Why did the person wait until they were 14" to show them? If my farm did the impossible I would be showing every step and as soon as I had fry been presenting them. Maybe not offering them for sale until larger, but I would have been bragging about it the second they got down and did the dirty.

You are thinking as a hobbyist, as a vendor, u must protect ur assets. I wouldn't give my business secrets away, at least not for free.

That being said, I agree that the hybrid is not likely, FYI, this vendor is from Thailand even through the fishes are from Singapore (or so he claims)Being from Singapore myself, this is the first I heard of this too. Head coverage is a man made effect on gold aros in the first place, this "golden head" is most likely created through WTT and other secrets rather then the hybrid of 2 aros.

Does not have the body shape of a black aro. The tail and fins are that of a silver aro.

my silver around 17" had black in his fins, like a tinted window. just a normal silver tho, still a cool affect mabey from diet or lighting?
