I was wondering how long it would take for a sliver to outgrow a 135 that is 18in deep. Could it be house with 1 or 2 large cichlids like GT and JD? The tank is cycling and it is filtered by a 20gal wet/dry sump.

I'd say close to two years. Outgrow is a flexible term.

No GTs nor JDs please!

Rays, Discus, SALungfish etc. Nothing agressive. It could even work with GT/JD etc but the cichlids have to be some 10% of aro's size.

I'd say 1-2 years too. The silvers growth slows after they hit a foot from my experience.

As long as the aro is at least twice the length of something like an oscar or JD you'll be fine. A 6 inch oscar isn't going to bash up a foot long silver.

But if you're concerned, just get a jardini instead ;)

Dont pecock bass get huge? How long could I keep like a pair in my tank? I am defiinatly getting a tiger dat. Would a couple of lima shovelnose work?
