SILVER SIDES

they are a great food for dats and any other pred fish
 
I would imagin to prepare you just thaw in some water and throw in the tank?

Shouldn't give out advice if you dont know whats being asked. Especially if you were ASSUMING silversides are the same as lance fish. They might be but you obviously werent sure.

I agree...which is one reason I attend the local fish club & am active on a local aquarium site. It helps with credibility if you can ask a question & then go over to a house & see the answer (ie could a 4 inch pseudo. crabro fit in a 10 inch p.bass?-in case you're wonder yes it can, along with 4 of it's friends.):naughty:

Do you guys have a brand that you like? I can't remember what the brand is that I use off the top of my head, but the silversides fall apart when I thaw them out.

Is there a brand that is better than the others??
 
I bought some silversides where they take out the head and the bone - i think that is the one that falls apart when you thaw it out, since it is kind of processed w/ vitamins, etc. (I didn't like this one).

I like the San Francisco Bay Brand "Sally's Silversides", which are just whole fishes frozen and doesnt fall apart like the one mentioned above when you thaw it out. Closer to "el natural". lol.

Yeah, the ones I use are the "de-boned" and vitamin enriched. I'll have to try the SF Bay brand next time.
