A jardini looks better IMO but it can get nasty with other tankmates; its bad reputation is its aggression. You can see some nice jardini arowanas at Youtube. If you intend to keep other fishes with it, do some research first. A silver arowana can grow much bigger than a jardini --- are you prepared to provide space for its growth?

Perhaps you can consider something cheaper than RTG --- like banjar red arowana???

And have arranged my house setup also to accommodate

I agree with Mr Rob its your discretion.According to me why cant you go for asian aro?Because this pet is going to be with you for upcoming years so make a good move.Just a thought.In india you can easily afford a asian aro.
