in a 5x1.6x1 size tank, you should have 0 silver arowanas

:iagree:

once the aro hits around 10 inches you better start to plan having a larger tank to move it to since your width is only 12 inches

i have a 6X2X2 with a 9" Jardini inside and i plan to UPGRADE this tank once the jar hits around 20"

i have two silvers, two blues, and a jar in my 300 with no fights at all,so far.I have other large tanks to put them in if it doesn't work out.

You should have more than 2 aros..otherwise agression to establish dominance will give you a lot of headaches.

I have 4 Black Aros and a Lei in one tank and everyone is happy.

Sometime, there's some a bit of pickering here and there, but they only last a day at the most.

Space is cruical as well, the more space you have them more area each fish can establish dominance within all of the fish.

For example, you'll have a better chance keeping 2 fish in a 6ft 125 gallon tank than 4' 120 gallon tank, because, they can be farther apart.

PS: by any means, I am not condonig putting aro in a 120 gallon.

2' wide tank is a must, 8' long is better, which translate to 300 gallon minumum
