thinkin bout gettin a silver dat, but first:

-just to make sure it can be put in freshwater
-arowana, bichir as tankmates n they r relatively same size, im just makin sure the dat isnt a fin nipper or aggressive
-would it be possible to put it with discus
-is hidin spot really needed, the dats r 3-4"
-best single or 3+

sorry bout askin so much ? just want to do research before buyin n u guys r the experts

1 make sure u get the fresh water ones
2 aros grow faster than dats and might out grow and eat it, bichirsr coo
3 it can work with discus
4 hiding spots arent really nessisary then they would hide all day
5 its best to get them in odd numbers
in my experiance the arnt really picky with food and usually single one out as tha weakest dat

silvers arnt really picky at eating they can probly put on an inch in 8-10 months... it took mine from 1.5" to 3" in about 8 months

I got my AT's at 1.5" from all happy three months ago and traded a few of them to Jason at Medusa at ~4-4.5" and they were some fat dats. Fed them mostly bloodworms and frozen market prawn pieces.
As for aggressiveness, my AT's are particularly more territorial than the NTT's and NGT's I have. Mine especially like to hide and then come out and terrorize the other dats that come close to it's little niche. Couldnt deal with them so I took em out and traded for some more NTT's. I tried leaving the smallest AT in the tank, but after it's friends were gone it took over the job of territory tyrant. I have an ornate in the tank, but the AT's never messed with him or i've never seen it.
