thats how aros are if you over feed it may not eat for another month the best thing with aros is small amounts twice per day

good luck with the new aro at 10inch they are fairly strong and it should be fine

just make sure you have a tight fitting lid on your tank and start setting up your big tank now as from 10 to 22inch silver aros grow very very fast like 1+inch per month

and i wont waste your time with silver aros grow to 3ft+ and all that as you must already know when you done all the resurch before you brought it

aros are great you will love it

Yes ive dine my research and he will be moving into a tank thats about 1500 liters i dont know how much that is in gallons:D
But u think i would stop feeding him for a day or 2??
Hes a very nice specimen realy love him:cool-1:

just feed morning and night small amounts until you see a small bump in his belly

congratulations, post us some pics...

regulate the feeding amount and time. 3x a day would be better or even 4x would be fine, but only in small amounts. smaller fishes usually have a faster metabolism coz theyre still growing up and growing up fast....

Oh ok ive been feeding him about 3 times a day with hikary pellets and hes all over them and after that he still wants more.
But ok so im not feeding him too little and not to much then thx everybody pix will come up at a later stage cus i dont own a camera right now...

Congrates...
10" is a great size of Silver...Right before the fastest growth spurt in it's life...the next 12 months or so will see your Aro take on size and weight...

I feed my 9 incher,
4-5x per day Prawn w Hikari floater just 2-3 pieces about the size of pinky fingernail cubed and 1 stick. Then I give him small portions of Krill, Superworms, Cricket (1/8") and he catches and eats moths and Misquito hawks too when he can catch them...

Infact we dun recommend feeding on the first day in the tank. Maybe the next day onwards but in small amount till it's use to the water inside.

Well he in very good condition now when i bought him he was a little bit skinny.
And hes doing fine right now there was not a problem feeding him the first day he ate soo i dont think it should be any probs feeding them the first day...
