I had plannrd on putting a liner inside the metal frame,i havent started this project yet,maybe "aluminium" wasnt the right word to use???:WHOA::WHOA:

I would use a 20L bucket and powerhead to make a bucket filter. Attach some pipe onto the powerhead, drop into the bottom of the bucket and cover with 6mm gravel. Its essentially a canister filter that doesnt need to be waterproof. Leave the handle on the bucket to make moving and cleanng easier. Its so economical you could have two and clean them alternately. If you have trouble lifting a full 20L bucket, you can use smaller buckets.

Just leave the pump running as you pick the basket up, it will pump out the water, just don't pump out the sludge in the bottom (pump should be mounted on something 3" tall so it's ff the bottom).

get and ld water tank and fill it full of bio media and for mecanical fitration make a skimmer.and yes do work in fresh water
