Does anyone have any suggestions for power head sizes/how many for a 125g FOWLR? Probably a simple question right? But part of me is afraid of buying too big/too small or not the right number of PH's for good water movement..

I'm looking at the hydor koralia's(not the magnums), should I just get the 1200gph ones? Idea how many? Tank will have at least 1.5 pounds per gallon live rock so I need alot of flow right?

was this going to be a reef tank or just FOWLR? if it's a reef what type?

SPS as a rule needs stiffer currents, LPS generally less, softies even less, FOWLR just needs adaquate filtration

No reef for now. Just interested in getting it setup as FOWLR for now.

for now 2 of the pumps you said would do nicely, are/will you run a skimmer or other filter?

Thanks I will go with two of them and see where that gets me.

Yep I will be running a hang on skimmer. And I wanted to run a canister filter just for ease of it. You think I'll have an issue running a canister filter? For the most part I'm trying to keep it simple.

if you maintain the filter regularly it shouldn't be a problem... if you're trying to KISS it, forego the the filter

I will be ok without a filter with enough live rock?

oh yeah... alot of people have nothing but LR and powerheads

Sweet.. Thanks!
