Simple Question - Shrimp Safe For Fish?

I figured they'd love it too. Hell, Rocky has downed ghost shrimp before. Yes I put it in some water and put it on defrost in the mic for about 60 secs which perfectly thawed it and left it still cold. I dropped one big hunk in to see if either of them had the gumption to down the whole thing. No bueno. So I ripped the other one up in tiny chunks and they'd bite them and spit them out. Just netted it all out just now after getting home from work.

I wouldn't thaw the shrimp in the microwave.. just put some in a small bowl or whatever, with some tap water or tank water and just let it sit a minute or 5..lol .. Also about mushing it between your fingers or ripping.. I noticed that it makes the water really dirty.. so what I do is cut it in small chunks with some scissors.. much cleaner! Make sure that you have special scissors for 'fishy' stuff only.. :)

i give my fish some of the table scraps of shrimp, usually the last little bit of meat in the tail. I squeeze out the meat, rinse off the cocktail sauce and in the tank it goes. It is only used as a treat, not as main diet, seem to like it. (except when the cocktail sauce isn't completely washed off)

If you can find a good oriental market nearby that's where I'd go. It's much cheaper than the grocery store and they have all kinds of things. That's where we buy the shrimp and fish we feed our catfish and eventually our pbass if we can ever ween them off feeders...

Well I already got this big bag. I will try again in the future. I only put in in the microwave for like 60 seconds on defrost so yeah. But I'll water thaw it next time. My Pbass is 100% on large pellets. Wasn't THAT hard to get him on them. Took 2-3 weeks. I tricked him with peas and then started breaking up large pellets and shoving them in the peas and then stopped giving him the peas. Now he nails large pellets off the surface way before my O is like "duh which way did he go?!"
