You know, like old people. They dont keep their color, sometimes they get covered in liver spots and stuff.

Thats by far the biggest dat I've seen. Never knew they grew that big.

Does anybody know how big they get, and with their reputed slow growth, how long it would take them to reach max size?

Well age is a good point. I would ask how old it is.
If its really expensive, you might want to know before dumping a lot of money on a decrepid old fish that will die soon (or die from the stress of moving).

If its not too old though, go for it. It may be drab, but its HUGE>

i was at this xxxxx farm.... this must be the biggest dat i have ever seen......

the rtc in the back must be atlest 3+ footer...

i am debating should i buy this fish....

I wish you could have taken this monster dat out of the water and take a picture of it next to the ruler.
By looking at it in the picture, you can not tell it is a 24+ dat.
