hey guys, would a single festivum thrive in a 20g (24x12x18) permanently? if not how long would it take before it looked to big?

are there any other moderately good sized peaceful SA amazon cichlids that would work in a 20? needs to be slow moving and peaceful.

by good sized i mean a good size for a 20, like 4" or so.

i dont want it to just survive, i want it to live in there happily.

the reason i asked about the festivums is because i keep reading different max sizes, anywhere from 4-8", so i figured i mine as well just ask, as im not getting a straight answer from any of the sites im reading on, so i was hoping it would be closer to the smaller side of the scale.

To me, it seems like it would be ok. Biggest festivum I've seen was 8''.
But, I dont know too much about CA/SA cichlids.

i refuse to put an 8" fish in a 20g tank, plain cruelty IMO, if it gets bigger then 5" i say no it to, and obviously 8" i possible, so i will scratch the idea of the festivum.

looks like it is back to the drawing board.

Female Salvini get 7"~ too. 20G is a small tank, I'd stick to Dwarves like Rams or Apistos.
I'm learning haha.

LOL, i mentioned i wanted peaceful slow moving cichlids from the amazon basin in SA, not from lakes in CA, let alone the aggression.

i already have tanks with the dwarfs, which is why i was hoping for something different.
