Single Festivum in a 20g?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
get a bigger tank.

uncwnells, i have about 12 tanks up and running ranging from 10g-150g, this is the only tank as of the present i have free, not set up or anything, and im trying to get ideas on what to put with the Amazon Leaf Fish i am putting in there. I am only 16, im lucky i have as many tanks as i do, so im not asking the parents for more.

like i said, the only reason i asked is because the info on max size varies from site to site way to much.

btw,Camphilophus, i already stated that im not doing it right after i was told 8" is a possibility.

Female Salvini get 7"~ too. 20G is a small tank, I'd stick to Dwarves like Rams or Apistos.
got any evidence of that?? biggest i seen was 4-5" and 3 years old.. males get 8" but females 7"... i dont know about that one.

I think for one fest it should be fine. but a 55gl would be better.

7" TL Female. I've seen 9-10" Males. No my perspective of measurement (and using rulers) is not warped :p.

if you want a CA cichlid for that size of tank, get perhaps a rainbow (multispinosa) or one of the smaller Cryptoheros

I have one in a 40 long for 2 yrs now and hes only 4 in. Great gentle fish loves to eat and stay near the top you can even put tropicals in with them like cories,mollies...Id say they are slow growers and if you plan on upgrading in time your fine.I wish i could find more dont see them around anymore.

How about a keyhole cichlid or a flag acara both reach about 4". Both peaceful SA cichlids that can be kept with small schooling fish or even cory cats.
