But a planted tank and about 20 neons would actually look pretty nice! you could do a non aggressive tank if you wanted. If not i would go with a pair of convicts. I know that know that no one will agree with me. But I think Convict Cichlids look really cool. You could have 4-5 female convict Cichlids in there. I think It might be overkill for 1 pair of convicts but you could do a pair of convicts if you wanted.

Look up kribensis cichlids, they're small, relatively peaceful, and will help pay for your hobby if you get a pair!
