I am in the process of changing the stock of my 75.

I was thinking of RD/midas, Jag, somthing else...

How long could a Male Jag live in a 75?
Eheim 2217 & AC110 for filtration along with 25% wc weekly
What size can u sex a jag?
I am open to other suggestions.

male jag could spend its whole life in a 75, the filtration should be fine, the water changes should be done on a nitrate build up basis, rather than just a set 25%. do whatever waterchanges you need to do to keep your nitrates under 20 ppm. if it is less than 25% weekly then so be it, dont waste the water or time, but at the same time, if it is more than 25% weekly put in the time and effort, and extra water.

I'd be looking at something that maxes out around 8-9".

Male exC. salvini perhaps, or possible stretch it a little to an exC. grammodes (because they're such slow growers)? Anything over 12" is a little optomistic given the limited length of the setup.

With a Salvini or Grammodes you get the Guapote behaviour in a smaller package.

You could do a Mota. They grow a little slower than a Jag in my experience and are a bit smaller.

I disagree with Japes that you shouldn't have anything that gets bigger than 9 inches in a 75.

Jag, RD/Midas, FH, or any other cichlid of the same size category would do.
