Single fish ideas

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
For the 125 I have to say fahaka puffer fish. Very beautify fish and has an actual personality like oscars. They are also facinating to feed.

I was thinking an aro or an atf but those get too big.
have two Leis one in 300 and one in 180 though good ideas. playing with idea of atf for 225.

Purple wolf fish, electric cat , grammodes, Midas ?
have a dwarf ecat in 180. maybe my favorite fish

For life or will you move them as needed?

125 may be ok for life of a Cephalosiurus species or a Bolt catfish.
This is for Life if very aggressive otherwise can move up. The bolt twill go in 225 most likely. Will look into Cephalosiurus for sure - didnt realize jelly cats. Was actually considering one for 300 but don't want for sp only tank. might be boring lol

this is what I have been leaning towards. Miss my old one a lot

thanks for the input. please keep it coming

If you get a cephalosilurus, it'll more than likely be an apurensis. They are very sedentary indeed.

For 75 gal, one of the larger spiny eels may work - fire, tiretrack, or blackspot. For the two 55 gal, I'd get 15-20 Pimelodus pictus in one and 10-12 LSN in the other.

I knew nothing of fahaka. It sounds like a winner http://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/tetraodon-lineatus/

"Also known as the Nile puffer or globe fish, T. lineatus was previously named T. fahaka. It is an enigmatic species, as not only is it one of the most aggressive puffers available, but it will learn to interact with its owner, developing into a real pet. Its eyes appear to show real expression, and its ponderous movements are a joy to watch. It can also change colour depending on its mood or surroundings. Some specimens will puff up when they want attention and to see a fully-grown adult inflate to the size of a football is an amazing sight."

Yup.

I have seen at V victor448 he has several archers in a 55. Looks interesting. Striking fish. Literally and figuratively.
