Single fish in a 40 ideas?

Hi,
I am getting a much bigger tank tomorrow and moving my current grow outs into a 125 tomorrow. But... I would like a single fish for my 40 that I can have taunt me when I wake. Any Ideas?

I agree with the statement on the oscar needing to get moved... and I havent really ever been a big fan of hybrids... They just creep me out. ha

Convict cichlids stay small and are neat! I have a single male in 2 tanks.

If long, I'd say Aro.
If breeder, go with a Midas.

Ok to make it more clear what you want. Do you want something you can house in the tank for life or something you can rehome/move when it gets too big for the tank?
