Single Fish

I like larger community tanks and smaller species or specimin tanks. The large active communitty tanks are the show pieces but the smaller specialty tanks are for the true fans.
For example, a 125g with balas, suncats, and raiamas as a main piece, and a couple 55g each holding a nice elongata, Rhom, or gulper cat, with a few 20-29g containing things like nandus, pike top minnows, or blue spotted sunnies would make agreat wall along one side of a rec or living room.

i have both and i constanly find myself moving something or getting a new fish to try with the solotrary inmates then i have to get more tanks or get rid of things. but either one has its ups and downs

I much prefer the single fish set up, or at least a tank dedicated to just just one species.
It may have something to do with the fact that i only keep snakeheads...
they tend to regard other fish as a light snack:D
