Any suggestions for a single predator fish to have for life in a 220? Make be able to get another 220 to put next to the one I currently have. Looking for suggestions. I already thought about a Wolf fish but wanted more options.

Could try a red tail payara. Even a group would do well in the 220g.

What's the dimensions of the tank? I ask as I have a 220g 7ftx2x2 which as caused me issues due to the relatively small width. I have gone with the fahaka option... but always interested in new ideas.

Ya know what's better than one predator? A school of them!

A group of pink tail chalceus, they are AWESOME :D

Could this newbie suggest a peacock bass? i read somewhere that some species actually stays surprisingly small, as small as 9 inches. Could be wrong but i think it might have been the kelberi? i reckon you could keep one in a 220...

PBass get much larger than that :)

They could still work.

Greenboy Greenboy you afrikaans by any chance?

i know that most peacock bass get bigger but im sure i read about 9" being average for female kelberi somewhere on the MFK forums... dunno how old the post is now though
