gt are nice but they grow reeeeeeeeeeeealy slow, yu should get a mota they usually get 9-12 in.and are some of the only para. species yu culd fit in a 55g

male gt's get 10-12", females get 8-9", and i really wouldn't do a mota, ime a 55 is to small, i really dislike keeping 12" fish, in a tank only 12" wide, i think the turn around room should be at least 5" more than the fishes max length, but from my experience giveing you adivce, telling you not to do something, is really a waste of time.;)

what about a male nicaraguensis 9"-10" or amphilophus robertsoni 9" or a male scienachromis fryeri at 8" and a stunning blue oh but this last ones an african!:) :) :)

i was thinking probaly a flower horn.what do u guys think.

sounds good, you could always put him in your 150, 75, pond, or the 265 or whatever your getting in a few months if it gets to big

I think maybe an arapima or maybe an rtc or something. you could put 12 hob filters on there and it would be perfect :D

Seriosly though a gt would be cool

Its gonna take years for a GT to hit 12".
