"Herps" or slang for reptiles and amphibians, from Herpetology, or the study of reptiles and amphibians...trying telling a girl you have "herps"...

You're better off just saying "I have a basement full of snakes".

Well said, I would much perfer the later. I giggle everytime I read I thread title that reads .... Check out my Herps, but I thought that was me just being immature.

My toenails curl when I hear someone use "ain't". And double negatives rupture my spleen.

but what if you live and work in the third world?;)

I would learn their language and be courteous among those that doesn't speak my language. Speak whatever language I want in my own time, i.e breaks, lunch.. Not state time.
I'm not looking for a debate, its just not right to speak in a language where our patients don't understand and become paranoid about the care given. I wouldn't take medicine from a person speaking to his/her staff in another language in front of me either.
I guess I should mention I work with psychotics and the mentally ill..

i hate like it aint like u gotta use it every 5 seconds.........
