I starved my Nile about two week's. Then i'd give him a few feeders to keep it alive. And sooner or later they give in. I hope.;)

ah aight... so you kept your nile without any feeders at all for two weeks or did you put some feeders in during the two week span??? i've only started starving mine for about a week or so and im really concerned about the perch dieing cuz of hunger... so are 2" chinese perch good at surviving these "starvation periods" or what?

sorry for the long post/ semi hi jack of your thread lol

thanks

Get your perch bulked up on feeders, have it nice and healthy and large enough so that you can starve it. If you're feeding qt'ed feeders heavily that'll only take a few weeks. Drop them in one by one, then drop in dead fish, then chopped fish, then eventually massivore and other pellets. Don't expect any fish to instantly take prepared foods. Of course you should offer them, but if it won't eat it always bulk up with live feeders or worms.
