i was just thinking while i was feeding my 2.5" bullhead catfish who eats about 3 or 4 Hikari Sinking Carnivore Pellets at every feeding time now. and they only come in one size which i think would be pretty smal for a full grown bullhead or any large catfish for that matter. so those of you who feed this stuff how long does it take you to finish a bag. or if you dont use it what kind of sinking food do you use?

Depends on what you are feeding. I feed my loaches with it, lasts over a month. A good sizebullhead could easily take down a dozen of those, I say less than a month per bag.

well i guess ill have to switch to another food. i wish hikari would make diffrent sizes of the sinking carnivore food though. and ewrum i thats what i was thinking. those bags cost like 10$ here and i want to spend my money on new tanks not bags of food. i guess ill try the wafers

Hikari just came out with a new food, Massivore. It's for big fish, I am hoping the pellet size is bigger. I haven't seen it on the shelves yet.

Yeah, I've seen that stuff in this months TFH.................not on shelves yet that ii have seen...........

My bullhead absolutly loves the sinking carnivore pellets. The moment they hit the water he begins to go nuts. The problem as you stated is the price. At his current 12" size I would bet that my black could go through a bag in under a week. I use them as an occasional "treat"
