Sinking Carnivore Pellets

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't have any carnivorous bottom feeders right now, but my mother used to have 2 khuliis and that's almost all they ever ate. took them and good 6-7 months to eat a bag

:topic: I LOVE that bullhead, burbotman!

My loaches love these, they have great color too.

I use HBH super soft.. My pangaseous love them :) The pellets are like the large hikari cichlid floating pellet size...

Go with nightcrawlers they are high in protein and will fill your catfish up alot faster. Shrimp pellets are another more affordable option as well. When they are large enough market shrimp works really good also ~Trent

My bullhead absolutly loves the sinking carnivore pellets. The moment they hit the water he begins to go nuts. The problem as you stated is the price. At his current 12" size I would bet that my black could go through a bag in under a week. I use them as an occasional "treat"

What is your staple food for your bull head if you are using the Carnivore pellets as a treat? I've got two small channel cats now and I don't see myself being able to afford chikari their entire lives

Well my new Lima Loves Tetra Cichlid sticks(wierd isnt it??My Asian upside down cat Loves Nutrafin sinking shrimp pellets,i know these arnt top shelf but thats what my cats like.

Anybody else got ideas about sinking food for cats that would be cheap and easy to get? I was thinking a bag of frozen pees would be someting to supplement their diet with. I don't know if they sink but Pees and nightcrawlers seems like the equivalent of steak and steamed veggies to me!

None of the lfs around here sell them, the only hikari products I can get over here are Cichlid Gold. I finally found Cichlid Gold sinking today, but my cats dont seem to wanna eat it and my big Oscars are too stupid to pick it up off the bottom... atleast my Gold terror figured it out.
I just wanna find something my cats will eat.
