How often do you guys siphon the gravel in your tanks?
I understand water changes are regular, but I find it to be a pain to move my props to siphon, and seeing how many of you have AMAZING and HUGE props, I was wondering if you guys siphoned the gravel often.

I have sand too. I use a turkey baster to get the poop off the sand normally every 2-3 days, but every two weeks I gravel vac over the top of the sand and get everything while doing a water change and then stir up the sand or else it gets brown algae. The larger rocks in my tank I don't move. It is easy enough now, but I would like to get a huge piece of driftwood which would make it harder to move things around. Here is how it looks now (just eh, needs hardscaping)-

Every week. The most frequent i gravel vac, I found out, the less I need to do that

I gravel vac every water change, but only the open areas. I don't vac too close to plants as they use the nutrients anyway, and I only gravel vac under wood or rocks once in a while.

I gravel vac once a week with my water changes. I don't have any live plants but I also don't move anything. Just hit the open areas, the corners and along the walls.
