  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You didnt know all fish need at least 100 gallons to themselves!!!! LOL yeah that place is pretty scary sometimes.

oscars are astronotus ocellatus.....the fish you are talking about are astronotus crassipinnis......much more "rare" than an "o"

Yeah, they talk a little too strongly sometimes and some take things a too seriously.

If I had trouble with my Oscar though I'd be posting there before anywhere else.

One of the mods knows his stuff and must think of very little else. I think he's a Oscar Biologist.

I am sure there are enough experienced oscar keepers here to help you if you had any problems or questions...

Every website has asses....but I guess that oscar website is full of them!

the mods and advice team share the same beliefs and all their "followers" join their party and belittle anyone who has a "over stocked" tank since they seem to think 2 oscars are over stocking in a 75* gallon...

now to me overstocked is when your filter cant handle the bioload and you have readings for ammonia and nitrite...

they go by how many fish you have in your tank...

Yeah, they seem like a bunch of anal weirdos...But actually, 2 oscars should not be placed in a 55 at all. I say 75g is minimum for one. But from what I hear, that website will like yell at you if you make a little mistake, lol.

that was just an example, but you get my point.. :nilly::naughty:

i wasnt talking about crassipines, i know what those look like, this wasnt them.i compared then to the striped Os and the striped had no white,a longer body, and the same greenish color that a black oscar has.they have a picture index,so you can compare photos if you want
