Sixbar distichodus (Distichodus sexfasciatus)

They grow to 10" in a year. This is the only problematic fish that I cannot successfully kept in a comm tank. I had many of them with each of different personalties but all with negative side. My first one had a taste of eyez and scales. Second had a taste for lungfish meat and snakehead scales. Third one had a taste for arowana scales and fish fin. Till I gave up buying this BASTARD fish. My last one caused my 52" south american lungfish's death. I will never keep this fish anymore in a comm tank. They will always have a taste of something.

so I supposed the fish cant really have tankmates in the same tank? not even a placo/common pleco?

They all have different personalities that you have to find out if it will work out with other fish or not.
