Everything is relative...........
THE TITANIC
We all think of the Titanic as a big ocean liner. Well, at least I did until I saw the following comparison.

Wow. I knew modern ship building techniques meant bigger ships, but I had no idea just how much bigger.

they're floating cities these days...which is why the carnival issues are so ironic, you'd think a "floating city" would have more backups. Though those issues are ironic in general as their old ships built in the early 90's have been refitted and don't have a single major issue over a 20 year run, yet their new ships with all the latest and greatest are out of the dock 2 years and then have massive failures.

sure, they're bigger these days, but the titanic is unsinkable.

Right I forgot. I guess if its stuck at the bottom of the ocean, it can't fall further down, and therefore is currently unsinkable. Never thought about unsinkable as a relative term

what is even more astonishing is, that Titanic is 101 year old but just 2 m smaller that the biggest ship today (considering the masts and funnel). It is also interesting that Titanic followed higher security restrictions than modern ships. Any modern ship with the widespread damage of Titanic would capaize within 15-20 minutes.

I like that picture....I would hang that in my office.....Darious would find a way to bash the ships because they are not German built.
