not to bash on your thread, but i was kindof wondering the same thing...
i bought a skimmer from a guy who said he had it on his 180gal and it was more then enough, ran a rio 2100 pump to the skimmer etc...
but im curious what my skimmer is good for... as far as tank size, i obviously know it worked well on a 180...
but im looking at roughly a 700 gallon pond now, not putting the skimmer in my 135...
so im curious if i should drop the one i have now and go get a beast skimmer that will do the job, or just get another skimmer to make up for the lack of the one i have now....
trying to plan out my pond, and keep a posotive out look and try to keep thriving for a salty (been discouraged and been recently thinking about making it a freshy...)
