Skimmer for a pred tank?

Debatable. I think they pay off best for a reef tank. But people have successfully used them otherwise.

no, those skimmers are crap.

a skimmer would deff be good for a pred tank. skimmers remove "crap" out of the water, preds produce alot of "crap".

Well, I'm going to assume it's better than nothing for now.. So I may pick it up.. but Whats a good fair priced skimmer to look for that would be good for a 120 gallon tank full of preds??

asm g3 would rock on that 120, but youll need a sump. theres no real way to get a good "cheap" skimmer. your best bet is to buy a used skimmer.

No sump for me.. must be HOB.. and i only have 5" clearance.. which could be another problem.. but im running two H.O.T Magnum bio pro's a and 2 big emperors.

A skimmer would still be bennificial right?

If you are keeping predators, it's probably advisable to have a skimmer...

Skimmer for all tanks. Its probably the best thing to drop cash on. I had a trigger tank w/no skimmer, and then a ****ty skimmer... and it was groady... Really unpleasant.
