Skimmer for a pred tank?

No sump for me.. must be HOB.. and i only have 5" clearance.. which could be another problem.. but im running two H.O.T Magnum bio pro's a and 2 big emperors.

A skimmer would still be beneficial right?

To the point where its probably worth sacrificing one of the emperors to put on in. Its really a saltwater necessity, unless you are planning on having constant wave action at the surface of your tank.

i ran a coralife HOB and it worked very well. I will say this however, they are much more efficient in a sump. If you have minimal clearence then a AquaC remora or BAKPAK would be the way to go, and this is fair priced. If you were to drop some extra cash, id save your energy and just get the aquac, IMHO performs better then most other HOB's will.

Thanks guys, im running the skimmer, and it does take alot of "crap" out each day! so i guess it doesn't hurt to have eh!
