I am about ready to throw my skimmer out the door... being that i have posted earlier posts about it spitting micro bubbles no matter on how little i adjust it, My question is , is there a skimmer that i can hang or w.e that can connect to my canister filter or somthing that im not blowing micro bubbles in the take to where there is soo many bubbles you can barley see that side of the tank, then when i adjust it it barely spits them .. what should i do about it or is there another design i can get?

what kind of skimmer are you using??? in all honesty all my SW tanks have a sump so my skimmer is in there. With a sump no matter how much bubbles the skimmer makes you can easily stop them by adding a bubble wall. I think this will be the cheaper route for you because if you want a HOB skimmer that won't make any bubbles your gonna spend big bucks on a expensive one. In my opinion those are a waste of money. Take like 25% of your water out. Drill the tank add the 25% back in. Add a little more to fill the sump. Do the plumbing. Plug in the pump. Believe me you may spend some money, spill some water, make a mess. Although when its all done you won't regret it, I swear. Put your heater and skimmer in the sump and you can do all maintenance in there instead of main tank.

they only hang on skimmer that i have never really seen a lot of bubbles being pushed into the tank from would be an aquaC remora. I know ive never had any issues with mine but it was used as an insump application as well so i would really know for sure.

i would also like to know what skimmer your using now.

The skimmer is by instant ocean, one of those 100 dollar jobbies, the part with the sump , not really sure on how to build one, expecially one for a 29 gallon, and two , not sure on how to drill the glass on the main tank and where at?? I've asked these questions before just didnt really get a good answer on one.

dont bother with a 29 gallon. Most likely tempered glass anyways, youd have a mess lol. the instant ocean skimmers i believe are seaclone, which yes are junk. Although for not much more you could have purchased an aquaC remora skimmer, which ive only heard minor bad things about.

seaclone are junk and even though you see a difference in tunning, its not very effective. I have a coralife skimmer in sump and that produces bubbles too but ive delt with it so i have an effective skimmer and no bubbles in the DT, lol, im okay with that.

what's your salinity at?
and how often are you working in the tank?
