The fish are used to an ocean sized environment, and your tank needs to be turning over this much to have a chance at being filtered fast enough.
I agree with fleshy, the oddysseas are a great fixture for the price. Coralifes can start fires too,

Im just saying I havent heard of any fire issues for a long time...that is why I would be interested. I have heard lots of people say this, and seen 0 proof since they made the improvements. Coralife makes a ****ty fixture these days, and seriously overcharges. I do not have good reviews for them, just based on putting them on tanks for other people. One of those people now runs an aquatraders fixture.
I do think that you need 10x the flow. This means that your sump return pump needs to push 400gph AT the level of which it is returned to your tank...those first pumps I thought you were going to use for a sump return.
Koralias are just used to get directional flow in a tank, and eliminate dead spots. I do not count them towards the 10x turnover in my tanks.
Holy crud you are the crazy poster!
I am using, and having good sucess with the CPR overflow. It gets pretty rave reviews as far as HOT overflows go.
Reefocto makes good skimmers, not the best though, and I have no experience with that particular model, and know no one that has used it.
Look into AquaC...great stuff, no adjustments so they are totally great for a beginner.
Aquatraders sells a 150w MH with 2x t5 atinic supplements and LED moonlights for $99 shipped. I think that is what I would use on a tank like this. Either that or look for something that has a 250w'er...it might be a little much but you would avoid a potential "spotlight" effect in your tank I would think.
