SKIN ISSUES???

Hello all! Just trying to solve a problem regarding the skin on my 1 year old motoro female. I have a 4 yr. old male Motoro stingray as well that is not having any skin problems. Going to see if I can attach a photo of what I am seeing. It seems to go away at night and pretty much during the day. Tested the water and it was 0,0,30,7.0 she is eating fine and acting like she always does . I know this species can change how dark and light there skin gets so i dunno if she was trying to do that because thats what it looked like. It did not look like burns from and increased of ammonia or nitrates so I am stumped. Maybe i can be a diet thing i only feed them krill and once in a while night crawlers don't know if I should change the diet a bit. Hope you guys can help

I have seen this many times, and i wouldn't exactly call it a "skinn issue".
From what i have been told, and from my own experience, - ill say this is a symptom of stress. So start by eliminating possible stress factors.

First two things i would find out; Do the bigger ray pick on the smaller one? Are water parameters stabile?
 
Thanks. I wrote what the water parameters are in the first post. And he doesn't pick on her at all. they have been living together for over a year.
 
She is not like this anymore I wrote that it was just for an hour at night she is back to her normal color and has not had another issue of this. was just trying to see if anyone else has seen this happen. Was woundering if it was a sign of breeding or a diet. It may look like burns but it actually is not when you see it in person.

What the parameters is at present time is one thing - but i'm questioning if they are stable.

Forgot to metion; My rays get this some times after they have been very active,- swimming up and down on the glass, and surfing in the stream. Also when they have not been fed for a while. It don`t get as ugly as on your female, but they get some spots here and there...
 
proximus-i test my water on a pretty frequent basic with the same readings all with in normal limits
And to Just toby- no chlorine in water bc i use only spring water to do my water changes and i test that as well
 
Your 1 year old female may be coming into maturity soon and your larger 4 year old male will want to mate. Keep a close on on them as he can do a lot of damage given how much bigger he is. I had the same scenario but my male was quite small and didn't do much harm. They have had 2 litters as a pair.
