Are you serious puffer punk? Give me a f'n break! I got a question for you,Are you a chic that's constantly on the rag or just going with out your meds for prolonged periods. It seems anyone who comments on something that works you always have some kind of negative comment. Before you make a silly ass negative comment like that do some research. I for one am tired of your negativity and the main reason I don't go around Puffer Forum any more.Nuff said! Try to have a nice day!:) Mike
Maybe because I have 30+ years in this hobby & have been taught by the best!

Lol, thanks for the backup guys. There is apparently a chemical in fresh garlic that isn't present in canned garlic. However, I have used the stuff from the jar (water, minced garlic, phosphoric acid) with good results so I don't know...

While I appreciate all that you have contributed to the online fish keeping community, I do think that sometimes you come across as arrogant and closed minded at times. I don't think you really mean to do it though, as you are just trying to help. But just try remember, just because you have been around longer than someone, doesn't mean that you are necessarily smarter or better than them. Please don't take this as a personal attack- we are all here to get better and learn.

Interesting to know... coz when any of my puffers start getting picky, or i'm weaning a puffer onto de-frosted food i use freshly minced garlic and mix their food around in it to soak up some of the smells to entice them to take a bite...

So if it really works as a way to kill/prevent ips then i may start doing it more often as a precautionary measure...

^ hahahaha, exactly...no sleeping next to the puffers after meals...
