Gotcha, and you said those were in a 240? What were the dimensions? Would you say having multiple multifasciatus keeps aggression down?
The foot print dimensions of the tank in the video were 60x36 (5x3ft).
The male was totally fine with all the other fish, the females hated each other. They had the tank divided in essentially half, each staying on their own side. Like many other fish males hate each other and females hate each other. They never did any damage to each other, just chasing / flaring.

Do you think the width of the tank helped with aggression between both species?

I never really experienced inter species aggression. Besides the slight flare up by a spilurus pair defending their fry.

In my fishroom all the tanks housing my CA breeders are 3ft wide min (the only exception is the display in my house which is 6x2 and houses my Thorichthys maculipinnis breeders).
In my experience the extra width helps tremendously allowing tank mates to avoid breeding pairs and still being able to act naturally without being constantly pushed to one side/ corner by the pair.
