I would think you need a bigger tank and give it time. It's most likely wild caught so the space and time will make a difference.

20 gallon?that fish is freaking out from size restrictions make it completely dark leave it alone.do you know about the fish you are keeping?

Funny u should mention the dollar per gallon sale, when it comes around I plan to stock up on tanks. When does the sale start?it's been said before but it's worth repeating, get a bigger tank asap. if it's not wanting to part with the money right now that's causing you to wait, keep an eye out for petsmart dollar per gallon deal and get a 40 gallon breeder tank. its a start.
if it hasn't been mentioned in previous posts, add a powerful powerhead.
I'm going to get a 40 breeder with some strong filtration and power head to simulate his natural environment. Also some subdued lighting to make him feel more comfortable.
