My TSN seems perfectly healthy,he eats well and shows no signs of illness, but everytime i open the hood of my tank he goes crazy for a few seconds, flying around the tank, then he calms down,is this normal(no one is bothering him.)Thanks.:)

It's normal, they are very skittish fish and jumpers too. I would build some kind of cave or area for him to hide. That way instead of flying around the tank he will go to his cave since he will feel safer there.

Yep they do that. They were one of the fish that the term Tank Buster comes from. My one is the same you can switch on the lights in the fish room at night and hear an almighty crash as he decides to go for a quick swim into the end of the pond. I know of a friend that his TSN bent its bill through smashing into the end of the tank. You get a skittish one or you don’t the one in my mates shop is as good as gold you can stroke him walk up to the tank he does not care.

i just bought one and he is never out in the day time..is this normal, never had one before. He just hides, I thought they were a active cat
