As far as feeding more pellets absolutely go for it. The more variety the better I say. For tank mates a lot of people use silver dollars on here and it works great. I've used tinfoil barbs and they worked also. They outgrew the slow orinos so depending on species they might work. Good luck.

hey mate, they will all ways be skittish at young age/small size, u can use tank mates like, silver dollars, flagtails, tinfoil barbs, plecos, oscars, etc

I mite go and get a few silver dollars. They grow really fast I thought our Aussie native grew fast Pbass smashed them out of the ball park haha.
