I THINK YOU SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEMS IT MIGHT ACTUALY KEEP THE WATER HARD FOR UR CHICLIDS BLEACH IT BUT IT MIGHT NOT MATER YOU MAY GET ALGAE ON IT SOON FOR SURE
it would probably be good for my snails, too. I didn't even think about that.

I didn't consider the algae, either. I'll definately bleach it. Need to kill germs and mites and what not. the things been sittin in a shed for God knows how long.

Go for it, post pictures and then peeps can judge if it was a good idea or not;)

Personally, I thing could look good:)

won't be till next week, I'm out of town. I think it'll be cool, though. the ram's horns curve to more than a complete circle. gonna do an entire makeover on my tank, it's been the same for years. will post before and after pics.

I think skulls always look cool in a tank, it makes the fish look meaner.

I got it set up. the skull was just too big. it fit, but overwhelmed everything else. I got my tank set up with the sand, and about 75 lbs of granite. I'll put the skull in my 75 when I set that up.

I'd love to post pics, but my apartment was burglarized while I was out of town; luckily, the only thing stolen was my laptop. I can't upload pics on my roommate's computer.
