A little bit, looks more like a MARBLE to me probably because i study this family of fish so much. Tey are more closely related to MARBLES than spotted. There are about 10 other sleepers that look like spotted gobys.
Eleotris pisonis Eleotris fusca Eleotris melanosoma Eleotris oxycephala Eleotris vittata are a few very close relatives and look alikes to Eleotris picta aka water cows. Most all eleotris i have seen have two forms of color they change these are the two colors for Eleotris picta.
Yea they are nice gobys i have one now. I had 5 one jumped after i left the top open after a feeding. Moved the other 4 after they ate some tankmates, and my female MARBLE GOBY killed all 4.
