Slender man

I kept one in the mid 1990's . It was a voracious feeder, and grew terribly fast. Much bigger mouth than TSN. VERY AWESOME CATFISH. Lost mine when the power went out in a freak mid-March snowstorm with a LOT of other very rare fish. Some including the planiceps, I haven't seen available since then. Dang!!!

First he ate a 4-5" ornate while he was 14. Then he ate the 3" paroons and giany gourami at around 16".

I always thought those fishes (save for yhe ornate) were too fat to be eaten. Guess i underestimated it.:(

Thanks, Bob. That does not sound surprising to me. A TSN of the same size 14"-16" would have gulped these prey down like a small snack. Firewood would too.

Yeah it was my bad not realizing that. I figuered for the gg and paroons that since he was so flat he wouldn't be able to eat em:/

TSN's mouth is "deceivingly flat" literally. Pseudo-platy-stoma = Fake-flat-mouth. Call it collapsible. Means stealth, low profile head-on but can open much, much larger than what may appear. Sorubim and Sorubimichthys are similar.

And it just goes to show how awesome these fishes are:) deceiving even those not their prey:)
