Slight tank over hand off stand

My 480 tank is 8x4x2 and is sitting on foam which is on a heavily supported plywood top. My problem is the tank is just a little wider than the stand. The tank is acrylic. The over hang on front and back is about 1/8". I was thinking of putting a piece of wood up against the overhanging portion and securing the wood to the stand. Does anyone know if this is necessary?

If it was me 1/8" overhang wouldnt bother me

Just set it up 5-11-06, so about 10 days.

I wouldnt think it would be a problem. !/4 inch over a 4ft section is barely negligible. I dont think it would be worth it to try to support 1/8 inch on either side. $0.02

not to change the topic but i also have a 6x2x2 ft tank 180 gal and it is hanging 1/8 inch. so do i need to support it or just do the same and let it be? been filled with water for 5 days already.

If you try to add support you will more than likely do more harm than good.
