Just wanna know what is normal activity for a sliver. My sliver is 15in or so. All he does is lay there during the day. But is eats and swims around at night.

I wanna know if anyone else has seen or heard of an Aro doing this. I just got him like a month ago. First day or so he was swimming at the top. After that he's been acting this way.

I thought he might have been stressed out from his move, but its been a month?

Water parameters? What size tank is it in? Usually when an arowana stays down is when water is bad.

Ok first of all its spelt S-i-l-v-e-r lol..
and hes probably just sulking, are there any tankmates i there with him?

CK, ABK,2 GT,2 Plecos, 1 Parrot/Convict hybrid, 1 CA cichlid, 1 Tilapia.

all fish range from 2-7in

how's your lighting, he could be bothered by the lighting you have , try turning the light down to see if he starts swiming then

Well a sliver will normally not move much and the skin will eventually push it out. Hurts like the dickens.

Now if it's a sliver from a dark lords spear or sword, then it will attempt to burrow and reach your heart and kill you. You'll never be the same again and you may find yourself communicating with the undead.

Oh, you mean a silver arowana! I'd suggest he may be sulking but there could also be a reflection that he's not used to or he doesn't like the lighting.

Could possibly be your lighting. Or do you have a lot of current in the tank? Could be too strong of a current.

well I have the normal all glass dual 36in lights. Also have 3 emperor 400.

Is that too much lighting? or too much current? He swims at night with all the lights off. Plus he does not eat right away. I will put sticks in and he won't touch them. And in the morning there gone.
