Sliver looking bugs

I've been dealing with them for about 9 months. I do weekly water changes and scrub the walls of the tank. I've also reduced feeding amounts. The only thing I haven't tried is do a cleaning and then no feeding for about a week. That might work.
dont stress it ive been dealing with to for several months keep up on water changes and cut back on feedings. i about have it beat as im hardly seeing them anymore.
I think this is more then planair.. they look like a peice of small/meduim hair of your head. some are balled up the when the light comes on in the tank they sterch out a squruim/wiggle.. they look white/red and the sliver bugs just wiggle.. Can someone please help!!!! Or should I give me O away and start all over new filters,media, and gravel? Or just say to hell with fish and sell everything(this is were i am headed tired of the nasty looking tank all togerther).. Also tried breaking the tank down and re setting up only thing I didn't change the media to avoid a cycle.
Did you try the salt my salted tank with my dat's is fine where as my other tank "un salted" has little bugs and has for years they don't seam to bug the fish at all. In fact the only time i ever get rid of them is when i get babies in the tank i think they eat them...
