Slow growers?

Red Bay Snook - Petenia splendida. I'm clocking the growth on mine with a blue moon.

Hmmm....that seems like something that would be interesting...Thanks for all the suggestions guys. For now its just a 29 so that is why I only want one. BUT I can basically upgrade anytime so that isn't going to be a problem but I would rather have one fish maybe two or three. What kind of bichirs grow slow besides senegalus?

I think you might want something a little more active? Just my opinion - maybe a ctenopoma, or something mid-swimming ?

Uaru cichlids grow quite quick. My uncle grew his from 2" - 8" is 6months. Then they got whitespot and died.

senegals grow insanely fast, mine just putt up 2 1/2" and some girth in 1 month.

rope fish or reed fish grow pretty slow. most people don't have full grown nandus nandus (i have a juvi and he grows darn slow imo)......um i can't really think of anything else too exciting.

get a CL or 3 a ctenopoma and a ornate bichir... dunno if its just mine but my ornate grows than an 80 year old without his viagra...

In my experience dats grow pretty slowly, as do flag tails and of course clown loaches. Ctenopoma are cool but ultimately don't grow that big so one could live in your 29g for life. Most of the other suggestions will eventually need an upgrade.
